Motorbike tour along the Great Dolomites Road

250 km - full-day bike tour of the Dolomites

Starting from the Rider Hotel Obereggen this motorcycle tour leads you first to Ponte Nova/Birchabruck, Gummer and into the direction to Steinegg, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Val di Tires/Tierser Tal valley and the Carezza/Rosengarten massif. Then  the road continues to Blumau. Steinegg is the starting point of the ancient Tierser road, which quite narrow and in a winding direction leads you with a gradient of more than 24 percent down to Blumau. From there this Dolomites motorbike tour guides you about 8 km to Fiè/Völs, folloewd by Siusi/Seis, descending to Ponte Gardena and into the direction of Ortisei/St.Ulrich in Val Gardena/Gröden valley. From Ortisei, follow the road to Selva, up to the Passo Gardena mountain pass. From there, continue to the well-known ski resort Corvara, over the Campolongo mountain pass, along the villages Arabba, Andraz and then up to the Falzarego mountain pass. Immediately afterwards follows the Valparola pass with an old fort from the 1st World War. Follow the road towards the village of Arabba. The road over the Pordoi mountain pass offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Dolomites. After the next villages Canazei, Pozza di Fassa, Vigo di Fassa you get to Carezza pass. Do not forget to stop at the famous Lago di Carezza mountain lake. There you will find a parking lot right in front of the lake and in a few steps you look into the deep blue water mirror of the lake with the fantastic Latemar. After this short break, follow the road down towards Ponte Nova/Birchabruck, from where you will reach the Rider Hotel Obereggen towards Lavazè mountain pass!
